An iPhone Activation Lock (if you’re using the term correctly) is done by Apple and not your network carrier so they can’t help you. To remove an Activation Lock, you need to sign the phone out of iCloud which you do by entering the Apple-ID & Pas. I have iPhone 4 on version 7.1.2. You will discover a lot of techniques to unlock iOS 7 iPhone. A lot of iPhone users choose the solution like permanent factory unlock while few others are happy to unlock the iPhone after jailbreak.

As I managed to get a little into the baseband by dumping it from the X-Gold 618 Chip (iPhone 4's Baseband Chip produced by Infineon), I found a slight solution to overcome Apple's fixes by replacing the activation ticket fields and by caching the ticket with networkd's files.
The fix may apply to devices ONLY bypassed with my video for bypass, provided here in the description.
WARNING! If used with other bypass methods, may brick the baseband (can't be restored via iTunes!).
Please follow the tutorial completely, don't skip parts, read the full description and don't get lazy because the risks are big. Breaking the Baseband is dangerous as it is not fixable.

You will be required to restore your device and bypass again if you had a SIM Card inserted in the phone.
By the time you restore, take off any sim card.

Warning! This is not a carrier unlock method, if your phone is locked to Verizon for example, it will still work only on Verizon, so, if you are here for carrier unlocking a device purchased on contract from a carrier, then you are not in the good place.

This method MAY OR MAY NOT work for all GSM iPhone 4 models around the world. Was successfully tested on: LycaMobile, Tim, Wind Italy, 3 Italy, Verizon, Orange and AT and T. This doesn't mean that it only works on these carriers, but on these ones, it works with no issue.

Please follow the bypass tutorial correctly, and make sure there is no SIM Card inserted by the time you bypass.

This is an Official guide on how to Jailbreak iPhone 4 on iOS 7.1.2 by Pangu Tool. After a long development period and testing now we can finally proudly confirm that the Pangu Jailbreak works on iOS 7.1.2 for iPhone 4 as well as newer models.

How to jailbreak the device untethered with Pangu on Mac and Windows:

  • Make sure that you create a backup for all of your data via iCloud or your Mac
  • Download Pangu for Windows or Mac OS X from our links.
  • Connect your iOS device with your computer and run the Pangu jailbreak tool.
  • Now, click on the Jailbreak button and go to Settings>General>Data and Time and change your date to June 2, 2014, and set the time to 20.30.
  • Now your device will Auto-Reboot. When the reboot is complete you will see the Pangu Logo on the screen of your device. Tap it.
