I listened to the samples for this pack on Toontrack's site and was blown away, the drums sounded fantastic mixed in a heavy metal song. So the first thing to note is this is an add-on pack, it does require Superior Drummer 2.0 (the SDX packs are not backwards compatible with EZDrummer, however the slightly older EZX packs are indeed compatible. This bundle includes three individual SDXs, all from the hugely popular ‘Foundry’ series; The Metal Foundry, The Progressive Foundry and The Rock Foundry. In total, you get 19 kits and in excess of 163 GB of raw, unprocessed drum sounds recorded in three world-class studios in different parts of the world.

The Metal Foundry SDX™ celebrates the Toontrack® Music Hard Rock and Heavy Metal legacy of the first Drumkit From Hell, on which the company has built its following. This in turn has spawned such groundbreaking products as dfh Superior, EZdrummer® and Superior Drummer® 2.0.
